Saturday Music Line-Up

DJ Lee Jeffrey :

Feijoada : Featured on Saturday Night at the NAWF (March 8,2008)

Feijoada was formed by bassist Beau Treadwell, drummer Mac Kramer, and guitarist Jon Poor, in the summer of 2005. The three made an immediate musical connection through songwriting and performing. Originally the trio played as the Jon Poor Band. As the collaborative spirit took root and more members were added to create a “fuller” sound, it became clear that the music deserved a more inclusive title. After a brief trip to Brazil, Poor came home with the name Feijoada. Soon Will Cash and Joe Cain were added on guitar and percussion. The five have since been busy searching for a new sound with elements of funk, jazz, Latin rhythm, rock ‘n roll, and a whole ton of soul. Local area keyboardists Matt Slocum and Peyton Grant have been known to round out the lineup on stage. The group has finished recording and will be releasing their debut CD sometime in the spring of 2008. They play shows all over Birmingham, Auburn, and soon in Tuscaloosa. Bring your a-game when you come to see these fellas because they like to throw it down hard!

Visit them on their sick funky fresh MySpace.

Clay Connor & The Criminals:

Clay Connor was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Connor then moved to Jacksonville, Alabama to attend college and that's where Connor's musical career was born. Heavily influenced by the likes of R.E.M. Jay Farrar & Son Volt , Bloodkin , Widespread Panic , Little Feat , and Public Enemy , etc... Jonny on the Rocks :

Jonny On The Rocks' sound is inspired by genre defying groups like The Clash and Beastie Boys. It's on stage where you'll see them truly shine with a soulful punk live performance that is soulful and explosive. A genuine artist in his own right, Jonny deserves to be compared to the greats. Coming of age far from the "Golden Era" of music, his work is a rebellion against what dominates TRL and ring tones.  Make sure to check out Jonny On The Rocks on their Website and MySpace.  If you are interested in booking or talking to JOTR please email Jonny at jonnyontherocks@gmail.com.
